Can I manage my Keyboost account myself?

Of course. You can access your Keyboost account if you click the appropriate link in the weekly report. You can also log in at the Keyboost website, on the right, with your e-mail address and your password.

If you do not have the password (anymore) - it is often considered unwanted mail or spam by e-mail programs - click on "Password forgotten?" To reset it. Once logged in, click on the "Keyboost" app on the next screen or choose "Keyboost" from the drop-down menu under "Welcome" at the top right.

In the next screen you can add another Keyboost account, if you think this is necessary. By clicking on the name of an existing account, you will see more details: the included keywords and their characteristics, a button "Add keywords to this account" and a button "Close account" button. If you click on this last button, there will first be a procedure to check if all invoices have been paid. If not, we invite you to pay online. Do not forget to finalize your account termination after your online payment.

Clicking on a keyword or graph will take you to the details of that keyword. After clicking the button "Edit keywords" you can adjust the keyword characteristics, for example the landing page.

Can I add a new keyword to my Keyboost account?

This is possible, as long as the maximum number of keywords in your account is not reached. Please keep in mind that the monthly Keyboost effort is distributed as efficiently as possible over all keywords in your account. If you add a "strong" keyword (high monthly search volume, highly competition, low ranking of your site for the keyword), it will require a greater share of the monthly effort of your Keyboost account. Therefore, the keywords already in your account will have less support and your site may start ranking lower in Google for those keywords.

It is unwise to add keywords for which your site is not in the top 30 of Google. Keyboost can make your site rank higher, but a position on the first page of the organic search results is highly unlikely.

What do I do with keywords that are not in the top 10 of Google after at least 3 months?

With Keyboost, like all other SEO efforts, it is impossible to predict the final result in advance. This will only be clear after provided the effort.

On average, a keyword that is in the top 30 reaches the top 10. A keyword in the top 20 reaches the top 5 and a keyword that is already in the top 10, usually reaches a top 3 position.

If even after 3 months your website hasn’t reached the top 10 for a certain keyword, this can be for several reasons:

  • Your landing page may not be optimized enough for the keyword. The optimization score to the right of the keyword, in the overview of your Keyboost account, gives you an idea. You can optimize the content of your landing page using our analysis program SEO Page Optimizer: with this tool, you can perform one free analysis per day. When you click an optimization score in the overview of your account, you will automatically be directed to a online request form for an analysis of the relevant landing page and the corresponding keyword.
  • The competition from other sites for that keyword is too large, so even with a optimized landing page and the effort provided by Keyboost, a higher ranking is not possible. Upgrading to a more powerful your Keyboost account may be a possible next step.

Optimizing your landing page is a good idea in any circumstances. If a keyword that is really important for your business ranks less well, you might consider upgrading your Keyboost account. Or you can temporarily pause keywords that are less important - in practice, they will bring fewer additional visitors - so the other keywords in your account get more support and may rank higher in Google.

What is this optimization score for each keyword in my Keyboost account

The optimization score is a number between 1 and 100, which indicates how much your current landing page can be optimized further for the keyword: the higher the score, the lesser the content of the landing page can be optimized.

Note: A low optimization score does not mean that the landing page can not be boosted by Keyboost: there are many pages with a low optimization score that reach the first page of Google's organic search results. Vice versa, there are pages that for which your website can not reach the first page in Google although they are optimized to the maximum, due to competition from other websites for the respective keywords.

Optimizing your landing pages certainly a good idea in the long term. But if thanks to Keyboost your website ranks in the top 10 in Google, even without optimization, you do not have to worry about it. When should you start thinking about optimizing your web content?

  • If you want to reach even higher positions for a given keyword.
  • If after the 3 months of Keyboost effort your site is not yet in the top 10 of Google for that keyword.
  • If after an update of the Google algorithm your site ranks lower in the organic search results, despite support by Keyboost. All Google algorithm updates are designed to get better rankings for landing pages that - according to Google – have high quality content. If your website starts ranking lower after such an update, it is a clear sign that there is a need to optimize.

We make available online our analysis program for writing optimized content, SEO Page Optimizer, for one free analysis per day. If you click on one of the optimization scores in the overview of your Keyboost account, you automatically go to an online request form for the analysis of the relevant landing page and the corresponding keyword. You can access SEO Page Optimizer directly by logging in to one of our websites, at the right top of the page, with your e-mail address and password. Once connected, click on the SEO Page Optimizer app in the next screen.

How do I stop my Keyboost account?

You can access your Keyboost account by clicking the relevant link in the weekly report. You can also log in on the Keyboost site, on the top right, with your e-mail address and your password.
If you do not know the password (anymore) - it sometimes gets lost in spam filters - click on "Password forgotten?" to reset it. Once connected, click on the Keyboost app on the next screen or choose "Keyboost" from the drop-down menu under "Welcome" on the top right.

Click on the name of the account you want to stop. At the bottom of the page with the account details, click on the right hand button "Close account”. Now you can request the termination of your account online. Terminating an account does not void any outstanding invoices.
